Why Are 60% of Veterans Unemployed or Underemployed for 3 months after Active Duty?

The reason 60% of all military people are unemployed or underemployed three (3) months after their last active duty paycheck is straightforward: They are receiving bad information.

I just read a post by a senior officer who wrote "I have met with ten companies and not a single job offer! I even asked one of the interviewers why he was taking a pass and he said "We cannot take chances with an unproven person."

Unproven?

I have done more challenging things in my life than he ever will! I have also attended all kinds of transition programs, and am doing exactly what they taught me. Frankly, it is all pathetic."

Neil McNulty: If ten (10) companies meet you and no one hires you, you have a personal chemistry problem. They simply do not like you. It has nothing to do with your background (they knew your background before they met you). Sadly, very few programs will tell you that. Personal chemistry between you and your future boss is the key to getting an offer. When we work with someone here at MMG Leaders, we will tell them plainly if they need to work on the soft skills side a bit. They do, and they get hired.
